It's just the way renpy games behave on older devices with insufficient processing power. Try manually shutting down anything working in the background. Although it's comparatively light and well optimized game. Maybe renpy vns are just not for your device?

1. Saves are kept separately from game as far as renpy is concerned.

2. Using saves from old versions in renpy games is not advised. Skipping through everything you've seen on a fresh save is the best way to avoid bugs and errors.

I'd say be confident in your writing. It's really good as long as you actually read everything without skimming through. Although it seems that skimming through lines is actually quite common behaviour of vn readers, which causes them to skip a lot of details, and there is a lot of neat and funny details in your writing.

That looks like a chubby heaven… I'm certainly getting more and more eager for update as time passes and status updates go by.

Just the first book though. I only counted vns with complete main story for all routes (if they're present). That's why oihs wasn't mentioned, for example. They got first chapter done, but next ones are coming in the future.

Unfortunately, this game is nowhere near being finished. Just like 99% of other fvns.

The amount of splendid spritework in this game never ceases to amaze me.

Essences are already bound to be colorful, so I think characters won't get colors, because otherwise it would seem like certain characters may have something to do with essence of similar color. Just my guess though.

There's just people like that and people who like people like that.

Edit: Finally finished reading it and it's soo good. Story makes you feel a dozen of different emotions and I certainly can tell that I was constantly entertained in more than one way. And most importantly, different means of entertaining a reader miraculously don't clash or hinder each other. I honestly don't get how this is not super popular. I mean, no routes, obviously, but if people judge story based on that before even trying, I just feel sorry for them.

Apparently FAQ button is not big enough. They don't have a schedule, since they're both quite busy, but they try to update game at least every quarter. So, next update is quite likely a few months away.

Lack of chronomagic is the biggest downside of real life, huh? My feelings resonate so much with all those mentioned misalignments and circumstances that it hurts. Only the best wishes to you though (or anyone who happens to read it for that matter).
